Woo-hoo! Half-way through January and we just got our first snow! I love snow! It makes everything look pretty. Snow is what makes the cold worth while. It’s almost like God says, “Yeah, it’s freezing outside, but to make up for it, here’s something pretty to look at.”
That doesn’t mean I love the cold, or the ice, or the ludicrously short days, but the snow at least makes it more tolerable. I don’t even mind shovelling, for that matter. I don’t like it, either, but I can shovel. It’s good exercise, right? And everyone needs more exercise, especially when you stay indoors all the time because it’s so cold outside your fingers go numb.
